We got up and grabbed some breakfast at a cafe with John and his family, then packed up and rolled out…heading towards Pennsylvania. It was a Saturday so that always makes things a bit of a challenge when it comes to finding a state park that has availability, but we located one just outside of Scranton, in the Pocono Mountains. This park wasn’t really designed for larger motorhomes, so things were a little tight and the small winding roads were a bit of an adventure, but we didn’t have any big problems. Like most state parks in Pennsylvania, they don’t have water hookups at the campsite, so we had to fill up the water tank in Marty before settling in at our campsite. The park itself is pretty, and we decided to just relax and not go anywhere for a few days. We read, caught up on emails, and relaxed in the hammock for extended periods of time. The temps felt great and it was a nice place to just unwind and not worry about anything. The boys loved going to the playground, which was located a short walk through the woods from our campsite. Overall we enjoyed the location, although if we pass through the area again I am not sure if we will stay at this location again. Next up: another national park!
